Donald Trump is not afraid of a little publicity. He is making news again by buying out MLM company Ideal Health, which he plans to re-launch as the Trump Network. Complaints are filling the air about this campaign, but they are mostly focused on Donald Trump and not towards the company.
One of the funniest Trump Network complaints is about Donald Trump being two faced. Donald Trump was on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and he had great fun mocking MLM giant Amway, and those hard working individuals within the company.
A few years ago, Donald Trump was on the Oprah Winfrey show. When she asked what he’d do if he lost it all again, he told her he’d start an MLM. The audience automatically started booing him. In his usual calm, caring manner, he said, “That’s why I’m up here and you’re down there.” I expect there will be many Trump Network complaints in the future, but they will mostly be aimed at the owner, not the company.
The company is working hard to make sure it has enough of their products ready to go when the big launch comes. They don’t want there to be Trump Network complaints about slow delivery or backorders. I don’t think there will be a problem with quality, these are very good products. But I will be interested to see how these issues are handled by the company. Delivery problems would be a public embarrassment to the Trump Network.
Trump Network complaints will be aimed from two different directions, since the company is also a network marketing company. They will either come from unhappy customers who buy the products, or from the members of the marketing aspect of the company. If there are strong policies in place in the company before hand, they should not have much trouble.
Here is my gripe for the Trump Network complaint department. It isn’t really aimed at the Trump Network, but it is aimed at all multi-level marketing companies. It is that these companies don’t give their members enough knowledge about how to sell effectively.
To have big time success you need to have a strong marketing knowledge base. MLM companies are not really all that up to date with the latest marketing techniques, and they focus only on the techniques that make the most people make the most money. But there are people everywhere making amazing money using one or two obscure techniques they didn’t learn from their MLMs.
Thanks to the internet, new marketing techniques can literally spring up over night. Big companies can’t adjust their training fast enough to compensate. Online marketing education courses can.
